Many Provinces have expressed concerns over the cost of the Conservative's "Tough On Crime" bill. Contact your local politicians and let them know you don't support it! Google "how to contact member of legislature" or "how to contact member provincial parliament" and you'll find out how to do it.

The US Sentencing Commission says that mandatory minimum prison sentences are wrong — which is good news, and something for Canada's government to pay attention to as they try to push through the same kind of laws here.
