September 10th marks the 2 year anniversary of Marc's sentencing in Seattle, where he accepted a plea deal to serve 5 years for sending marijuana seeds to the U.S. and contributing millions of dollars to activism efforts. With 664 days left on that sentence we hope like then that Marc can be transfered back to Canada and will be released sooner.
Coming up September 15th is the Boston Freedom Rally, starting high noon at the Boston Commons. Jodie will speaking on the main stage at 1:50 and would love to see you there. For all the details go to http://masscann.org/rally
More media opportunities have arisen from Marc's article "Our Missed Opportunity" that was published at The Huffington Post – another article by Jon Ferry in the Province newspaper, and a radio interview on the Corus Radio Network's "Roy Green Show", broadcast across Canada.
Our good friend Dana Larsen has started an campaign in British Columbia called "Sensible BC", to decriminalize cannabis in our province. Much work needs to be done to achieve a referendum. Go to http://www.sensiblebc.ca for details about how you can get involved and help.
Jodie dips into the Bubble Bag and chooses another winner of a Free Marc t-shirt, stickers and a Free Marc pin. To have your chance in the weekly send an email to jodie@cannabisculture.com
Be sure to visit our store at 307 West Hastings St in Vancouver, where students get 10% off with their student card for the month of September. Or shop online at http://www.CannabisCulture.com/store – there's free shipping to anywhere in North America. "We've got everything you need except the weed!"
You can send Marc a letter, he loves to hear from fellow activists and supporters!
